Recently her book Spinoza’s achtbaan (Spinoza’s rollercoaster) came out, an illustrated book on the life and ideas of the philosopher Spinoza, with texts by Erik Bindervoet. This book formed the inspiration for SpinMiffy. ‘My blue-white Spinoza paintings on the large Miffy make that she seems to be made of porcelain. Both Miffy and Spinoza are typical Dutch icons, and combined they form an unexpected statue.’
