« Le défi de cette peinture est de capturer l’éléphant avec une forme qui, autant que possible – plus qu’une simple décoration – porte également une signification intrinsèque. L’éléphant est serré dans ses bras par un homme pour le protéger, mais aussi en signe de l’amour. Cela rapproche l’œil de l’homme avec celui de l’éléphant, afin que l’homme puisse voir le monde à travers la perspective de l’éléphant. »
