Fleur van der Weel is a big fan of Dick Bruna. She has a large collection of Zwarte Beertjes books. ‘Not to read them, but because of their beautiful covers that where designed by Bruna. The pure lines, clear shapes, the use of black and white, are inspiring. Therefore, Miffy gets a big kiss from me, I mean … from Superguppie.’ Her statue is called Superguppie xx Miffy.
