On qualifie parfois le gris d’ennuyeux à tort, alors qu’il est justement la couleur la plus polyvalente et la plus fédératrice qui soit. Il se situe pile entre le noir et le blanc et agit ainsi comme une base neutre à laquelle tout autre élément s’accorde. Une sculpture grise ajoute sérénité et équilibre sans réclamer l’attention, et paraît en outre moderne et raffinée : parfaite pour un décor épuré et sobre riche en matières naturelles.
